Interest
Pirinenc Endemism belonging to the subgenus of lizards Pyrenesaura also endemic to the Pyrenees. Classified as "Endangered" by the IUCN.
Distribution and origin of the sample
Endemic to the Pyrenees, it is found in the region of Pallars Sobirà (Lleida), Ariège (France) and northwest Andorra. Its distribution is restricted to three mountainous nuclei (Montroig, Pica d'Estats and the nucleus of Coma Pedrosa-Tristaina-Serrera), with an exclave to the south in the Salòria massif.
