1. Data Portals
Access our data portals where you can find all the data produced under the Catalan Initiative for the Earth Biogenome Project. This portal provide easy access to data for further analysis and exploration.
2. Data Submission Guidelines
– If you have received funding from a project of the Catalan Initiative for the Earth BioGenome Project (CBP), or if you are sequencing a genome with your own resources but want it to be included under the CBP umbrella, you must upload the data for your species to the Portal (local sample), create a biosample at the ENA, and deposit the voucher in a public institution. Below you will find a basic explanation of each of these steps, along with downloadable documents that contain all the necessary information to complete them, including detailed explanations, instructions, and tutorials. If you have any doubts during the process please contact us at catbiogenoma@correu.iec.cat.
Relevant Information:
– CAPTURE AND COLLECTION PERMITS
All CBP-funded projects must have official collection permits for the samples to be sequenced. For more information on where to obtain collection permits in Catalan-speaking territories, please consult the document attached below:
*This guide is pending
– UPLOADING ORGANISM DATA TO THE PORTAL
Organisms must be added to the portal (https://dades.biogenoma.cat) as soon as the individual has been collected, and within a maximum period of three months from the start of the project. An electronic voucher (photographs) of the reference individual must be provided and uploaded along with the local sample data. For more information on how to upload species data and the electronic voucher to the portal, consult the Guide for uploading data to the portal.
– DEPOSITING VOUCHERS IN PUBLIC REPOSITORIES
All reference genomes must be associated with a physical voucher that must be deposited in a publicly accessible repository. The CBP recommends three partner institutions that can serve as repositories for animals (Natural Sciences Museum of Barcelona; MCNB), for vascular plants (Herbarium of the Botanical Institute of Barcelona; Herbarium BC), and non-vascular plants, algae, and fungi (Plant Biodiversity Documentation Centre of the University of Barcelona; Herbarium BCN).
